Triceratops horridus is characterised by the two horns above the eyes and the nasal horn. The dinosaur was a herbivore and fed mainly on low-growing plants, ferns and other vegetation found in its environment. Its strong jaws and specialised teeth were well adapted to its diet. Fossils of Triceratops have been found mainly in North America, particularly in the present-day states of Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota.Due to technical reasons the colors may differ from the original specimen.
