Format: DIN A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm)For accompanying booklet see product number B92202Only available in German!Life's development on our planet and geological changes over the course of time are the subject of the poster “Living Planet”. It was created in 1998 with the aim of providing a holistic overview, or rather impression, of the history of Earth. It is still one of Planet Poster Editions' most successful posters! The Earth was formed around 4600 mio. years ago and has been home to living organisms for 3800 mio. years. Our poster focuses primarily on the last 540 mio. years, during which the biodiversity of cellular organisms has evolved. To contribute to a more global understanding of our planet, we have tried to avoid focusing on the last few million years and the appearance of humans, as the majority of geological publications do. The landscape for the Quaternary period, which is only 2 mio. years old, is relatively small in our poster, with a few insects, fish and grasses as the dominant organisms. Humans do not appear: the period in which we have colonized this planet is only a tiny fraction of that in which other organisms have lived throughout history. We have dedicated a separate poster (product number: B92221) to humans. Many of the articles in popular science on Mesozoic organisms (from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous) give a distorted picture of Earth's history. Even serious authors try to convince us that 95% of the history of life took place in a region that corresponds to present-day North America. In our poster, we have chosen a Triassic image of life from present-day Africa and South America, and one from present-day Asia for the Cretaceous period.Colors in product photos may differ from those of the original specimen for technical reasons. Our pictures are for reference only, you will receive a piece of equivalent quality with your purchase.

Format: DIN A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm)Superb print quality on environmentally friendly 200g paperlightfastmatt varnish-coatedOnly available in German! In 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev and Lothar Meyer developed the periodic table we know today. The chemical elements are arranged in increasing order according to their atomic number and depending on their chemical properties in periods and groups. This poster shows the most important data of each element: the relative atomic mass, melting point, covalency radius, ionization energy, electronegativity according to Pauling, important oxidation numbers or the electron configuration. As such, it is an important tool for school and university. Key trends in the periodic table are illustrated using overview diagrams.A large number of available image files of pure elements were reviewed and a representative image for each element was included. In the case of colorless gases, we have opted for the representation of the respective fluorescent tube light. Colors in product photos may differ from those of the original item for technical reasons. Our pictures are for reference only, you will receive a piece of equivalent quality with your purchase.
