A member of the Ceratopsidae group, Triceratops lived in large herds until the end of the Cretaceous period.
Characteristic of Triceratops horridus are the two horns above the eyes and the nasal horn. As a herbivore, Triceratops fed mainly on low-growing plants, ferns and other vegetation found in its environment. Its strong jaws and specialized teeth were perfectly adapted to its diet.
Fossils of Triceratops have been found mainly in North America, particularly in the present-day states of Montana, Wyoming and
South Dakota.
Colors in product photos may differ slightly from those of the original specimen for technical reasons.
