This collection of ten rocks contains the most important representatives of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks: granite, gabbro, trachyte, basalt, diabase, tuff, sandstone, limestone, clay shale and biotite gneiss.
The specimens are labeled with the exact name, age and locality. A film is placed over each label to prevent scratching. The minerals are numbered so they can easily be identified if they are ever misplaced.
The pieces in the collection are supplied in system-bloc collection boxes, which are arranged in sequence in a wooden box. A detailed list of contents is included with each collection.
