Abelisaurids are descendants of ceratosaurids that appeared during the Cretaceous period. They have a very distinctive tooth shape and are found in various parts of the world. Some examples are: Kryptops palaios, Skorpiovenator, and Carnotaurus sastrei. Various abelisaur teeth occur in the Kem Kem Formation, making it difficult to classify the teeth more precisely.
