Australopithecines represent an early form of hominids with primitive features: a protruding face with receding forehead, as well as large teeth (spatulate incisors, considerable canines) and a generally upright posture. Their skull is still very anthropoid, but the rest of their physique is more like that of a modern human.
Age: Lower Pleistocene;
Locality: Swartkrans, South Africa
Casts are made in-house from casting wood and colored by hand. For this reason, the colors in the photos may differ slightly from those of the original piece supplied.
