They can reach a body length of about 25 millimeters, with a forewing length of about 28 millimeters. Some large specimens could reach a size of about 19 centimeters.These Polyneoptera, whose taxonomic classification is uncertain, were considered aquatic and lived on the water’s surface, where they likely hunted small nektonic animals.They lived during the Cretaceous period in Brazil, China, Lebanon, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mongolia, and Myanmar, as well as during the Late Jurassic in Germany, spanning the period from 150.8 to 93.5 Ma, from the Tithonian to the Cenomanian.
