Bone fragment with clearly visible bone structure and a well-preserved bone surface (periosteal side).

Size: 12,5 x 6,5 x 3,5 cm

These massive animals mainly fed on tundra vegetation in the northern hemisphere. Their bones can be found in many ice-age sediments. With the end of the Ice Age, their subsistence disappeared and they became extinct, although a small group survived on Siberian islands until around 5000 BC.
