Rhederodendron is now only found in Indochina and southern China. This should give you an idea of the climate in the Rhineland when these seeds were growing. The genus is named after Alfred Rehder, a botanist.

Locality: Inden open-cast mine, Rhineland, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Size: approx. 3-4 cm
