Collection: 30 rock-forming Minerals (45x60 mm)
30 minerals
hand piece: 45 x 60 mm
assorted in collection boxes
including wooden case
This collection presents 30 of the most important rockforming minerals as described in standard works of petrography. It is therefore an indispensable basis for introductory petrography classes.
Contents: quartz, 2 feldspars, 2 feldspar representatives, 2 representatives of the sodalite group, 4 pyroxenes, 4 amphiboles, olivine, 4 mica, kaolin, 3 carbonates, 6 minor aggregates (including heavy minerals)
The hand specimens are labeled with the exact name, age and locality. A film is placed over each label to prevent scratching. The minerals are numbered so that they can be easily identified again if one is misplaced.
The pieces in the collection are supplied in system-bloc collection boxes, which are arranged in sequence in a wooden box. A detailed list of contents is included with each collection.
