A beautiful specimen of Sclerocephalus haeuseri!
Sclerocephalus is a genus of temnospondyls found in Central Europe during the Upper Carboniferous and Lower Permian.
The type species, Sclerocephalus haeuseri, is known from several hundred skull and skeletal remains from the Saar-Nahe Basin. In addition to adult specimens, fossils of juveniles (including some larvae with external gills) were found at several sites, allowing for a description of its ontogeny.
