Place of discovery: Kaub am Rhein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Size: 29 x 36 cm

A particularly well preserved fossil of a crinoid crown with outstretched feather-like arms and a spiked calyx. The spiral-like curled stem end, which served as an anchor on the seabed, can also be seen.
Crinoids are animals and belong to the phylum of echinoderms.
