GAMMA-SCOUT® RECHARGEABLE measures and records the radioactiveradiation in our environment continually. The result can be displayed in micro-sieverts, becquerels (Bq), or as a pulse count. The test specimens must fall within a 5% confidence interval relative to amaster standard, which in turn has been calibrated against a certified Cs-137 source.Source isotope other than Cs-137: The conversion of pulses per unit time to dose rate is based on Cs-137. If other isotopes are present, the pulses per unit time can be displayed directly and converted using your own tables.Alert threshold for dose rate: GAMMA-SCOUT® w/ALERT emits an acoustic alert when radiation level exceeds a user programmed threshold.Ticker: The user can activate a ticker that emits a beep for every pulse detected.Dose rate and dose: GAMMA-SCOUT® also functions as a dosimeter (cumulative radiation).Continuous operation: this device monitors radiation day and night and stores values for later retrieval.Data storage: GAMMA-SCOUT® stores the number of registered pulses in its internal memory and keeps them there for you. 32,000 measured values. For continuous monitoring, the storage of environmental readings is set to one reading per week, which would result in 600 years of storage capacity.The user can select shorter monitoring intervals.
