Age: Upper Cretaceous;Locality: Logan County, Kansas, USA;Size: ca. 1-2 cm (0.8 in)Pristine, complete and beautiful tooth of an ancient raven shark. The similarity to tiger shark teeth is not necessarily homologous, but indicates analogous hunting behaviour, which in the case of modern tiger sharks includes anything that moves but especially marine reptiles, of which there was an abundance in Cretaceous oceans.Color on pictures can differ from original due to technical reasons.
