Hence the stratification: tidally rhythmic deposition of the sediments of cyanobacteria.
Mainly grey and green, some red jasper.

Locality: Biwabik Formation, Mary Ellen Mine, Mesabi Iron Range, St. Louis County, Minnesota, USA
