Place your finds in the surfactant "Rewoquat" - during subsequent soaking, soft matrix such as marl will detach from the fossil.
Well applicable for foraminifera, brachiopods and many more. Solnhofen slab lime can easily be cleaned with Rewoquat without corroding the fossil itself: simply apply the fluid with a brush and then rinse off with hot water.
