Very beautifully preserved conularia!

This is an extinct group of cnidarians that are known as fossils ranging up until the Late Triassic. They can be recognized by their cylindrical hollow external structures, which were shaped like pyramids and consisted of numerous lamellae.

Age: Upper Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian, Finis Shale Formation;
Locality: Jack County, Texas, USA
Size: approx. 4 x 1,5 cm
