This smaller and lighter pick is an absolute must for geologists and paleontologists - excellent for splitting and digging. Three small magnets incorporated in the side of the head allow identification of magnetic minerals and rocks immediately at the site. The lightweight handle doesn't put n extra weight to carry and provides for balanced handling. This instrument also offers the well-known Estwing patented nylon handle for extra shock absorption.
