This relatively rare mineral belongs to the sodalite group and exhibits a very beautiful
fluorescence under black light, with the intensity depending on wavelength and locality
of the specimen.

Short-wavelength (253 nm): faint orange
Long-wavelength (365 nm): bright orange – yellow-orange
