The fossils in this collection mark certain geological periods (Precambrian - today) by their occurrence. Arranged by geological age, they give an overview of the evolution of life. This collection was compiled for a first introduction to the world of paleontology in the school setting. It contains representatives of all major fossil animal and plant groups, as well as detailed introductory texts. All specimens are numbered and provided with labels, which give the exact name as well as age and place of discovery. They are supplied in ,system-bloc' collection boxes. A detailed contents list is included with each collection.
