portable UV lamp (19,5 cm), 4 W (short-& longwave)

Product information "portable UV lamp (19,5 cm), 4 W (short-& longwave)"

A variety of precious and semi-precious stones can be examined simultaneously
by irradiating them with a UV analysis lamp. Many stones, imitations, or synthetics fluoresce
under ultraviolet light.
Individual characteristic colors or color changes at different wavelengths make stones
distinguishable from one another.

A short-wave (254 nm) and a long-wave UV lamp (365 nm), each with 1 x 4W, for
fluorescence testing. One illuminated on/off switch per wavelength.
The two wavelengths can be used separately or simultaneously.

  • Visible filter area: 95 x 45 mm
  • robust, lightweight housing with plastic coating
  • Measures without handle: 195 x 70 x 65 mm (L x W x H)
  • Mains operation 220–240 V
  • Weight: approx. 1250 g
  • Application: Material testing, fluorescence analysis, disinfection control

Caution:
NEVER look directly into the light beam, as this may impair your vision!
Always wear UV protective goggles when working with short-wave (255 nm) and
medium-wave (310 nm) UV light! (see product numbers: W10, W11, W14).
UVC radiation is invisible and harmful.
Short-wave (255 nm) and medium-wave (310 nm) UV lamps are NOT suitable for children!
Do not point the light beam directly at your skin, as exposure can damage skin tissue.
Never point the UV light beam at other living persons or animals!

Yooperite 2-3 cm

Yooperlite – the glowing secret from MichiganSize: approx. 2-3 cmLocality: MichiganYooperlite is an extraordinary type of rock from northern Michigan, discovered only a few years ago. It is especially famous for its bright fluorescence under UV light, usually glowing in vivid orange or yellow. This effect is caused by the mineral sodalite, which is embedded within the volcanic host rock. The name “Yooperlite” comes from the residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula—known as “Yoopers”—where these spectacular stones are found along the shores of Lake Superior. Thanks to their intense fluorescence, they quickly became highly sought-after collectibles.Yooperlite brings together geology, natural phenomena, and the excitement of collecting—making it a true highlight for anyone who loves fluorescent minerals.Colors on photos may slightly differ from the original piece due to technical reasons.Pictures serve as an example. You will receive a specimen of equivalent quality.
