Trilobite: Deanaspis goldfussi, Ordovician; CZE
Two small, exquisitely detailed trilobites from the conservation deposit of the Bohemian Letna Formation displaying their typical bright orange-golden coloration. The rostral plate (rostrum) and the free cheeks (librigena) form a large seam studded with pustules. Deanaspis occurs with the more common Dalmatina in the same faunal community, which was deposited in the shallow water area. The body width prevented it from sinking into soft sediment.
