This collection contains fossils which mark certain geological periods (Precambrian - today) by their occurrence. Arranged according to geological age, they give an overview of the development of life on Earth.
Designed specifically for a first introduction to the world of paleontology in the school setting, it features representatives of all the major fossil animal and plant groups. Each fossil is accompanied by an explanatory drawing, as well as a detailed introductory text. The specimens are numbered and labelled with the exact name, age and place of discovery. They are supplied in 'system-bloc' collection boxes, which in turn are placed in sequence in a wooden case.
