Product information "(Lepto) Salenia sp. (approx. 1.5 cm)"

Age: Cretaceous
Locality: Morocco
Size: ca. 1,5 cm

These small but completely preserved main bodies of a sea urchin come without spines, because they are only attached to the body with a thin layer of tissue and fall off after death. The current then separates them, but in return you can see the finest detail on the ambulacral plates and spine attachments.
