Crusher plate of a fossil eagle ray (Myliobatis dixoni) from the Paleogene of Morocco in matrix. Nearly complete and with perfect enamel preservation, smooth to the touch.

These rays fed on hard-shelled organisms and their dentition was adapted to crushing.

Alter:  Tertiary, Palaeogene, Palaeocene;
Locality: Kouribgha, Morocco
Size: Fossil: 5 cm (2 in); Matrix: 7,5 x 7,5 cm (3 x 3 in)
