Aquamarine is a variety of the mineral beryl. Its name comes from Latin (aqua marina)
and translates as “sea water,” referring to the stone's delicate blue to blue-green color.
With a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8, it is often used as a gemstone in jewelry.

Locality: Brazil
