Impression and carapace remains of a head shield belonging to Podolaspis lerichei, a Ukrainian jawless fish, on green-red sandstone. The bone plates, if preserved, are very detailed and somewhat lighter in color. You can even identify the imprints of the fin spines.
The impression is three-dimensional and reaches about 2 cm in depth.

Age: Lower Devonian, Prague (approx. 410 million years old)
Locality: Babin, Chernivtsi oblast, Ukraine
Size fish: 14 cm; slab: 36 x 26 x 7.5 cm
